DreamHack Online Qualifier Finals
DreamHack Summer 2012 looms large this June: featuring eight of the best teams in the world fighting for a combined purse of $40,000! Four of those teams will enter the tournament through an on-site BYOC-qualifier. The other four come from the online qualifier taking place this weekend. Eight top-notch teams from across Europe will meet this Sunday, May 27… but only four will advance to DreamHack!
The qualifier adopts a double-elimination best-of-three format. The first round kicks off at approximately 14:00 CEST on Sunday, May 27, with a second round following at 16:00 CEST. The two 2-0 finishers qualify for DreamHack, with the two 0-2 finishers being eliminated. The remaining four teams compete in one final round at 18:00 CEST to determine which two will move on to DreamHack.
The schedule for the first round currently looks like this:
- exHCL vs. fnatic.RC
- Moscow 5 vs. Fragzone
- Absolute Legends vs. Na'Vi
- Counter Logic Gaming vs. Team "Teamless"
Winners and losers will determine subsequent placement.

Garena Premier League: Week 2
The Garena Premier League – Asia’s first regional, fully professional League of Legends eSports league – continues its 20-week season with a pair of top-notch matches this Saturday, May 26. Each of the four teams represents a different country. The Bangkok Titans face off against the Kuala Lumpur Hunters, while Taiwan’s Taipei Assassins tackle the Singapore Sentinels. All four hope to finish the season in the top three in order to enter the grand finals and battle for the title of season champion. And with $40,000 in combined prizes throughout the season, the stakes remain sky-high for every match!
The Garena Premiere League matches start this Saturday, May 26, at 5:00 AM Pacific Time.

Team SoloMid North America Invitational: Day 1
On the other side of the Pacific, Team SoloMid kicks off its inaugural North American Invitational on May 26 and 27. The tournament embraces a double-elimination format, with eight teams competing for victory this weekend! Participation comes via invite from TSM only. The eight participating teams this weekend are: Counter Logic Gaming, CLG Black, Curse, Dignitas, MTW.na and Team Dynamic, as well as TSM themselves and TSM.Evolved.
Matches take place over the course of two days, starting at 4:00 PM Pacific Time on Saturday, May 26 and continuing at 12:00 PM Pacific Time on Sunday, May 27. This represents the first of many tournaments in the Naother American Invitational, with contests continuing throughout 2012 and over $100,000 in combined prizes offered by TSM. With that kind of purse attached, expect to see some top-notch teams as the invitational continues!
